Just installed a 350, .030 over, decked and balanced. Put the TPI stuff on it as well. Installed a set of edelbrock headers. Now, for my problem. I still have the stock injectors and fuel pressure regulator. Timing is set at 0 deg according to the sticker on the hood. Engine appears to be running hot at higher rpm's. the temp comes down when the engine is idling. I had to use adapters for the sending units because the heads areolder style. this brings the sending unit out toward the header... could this be why it appears to be running hot? i have new thermo, radiator and water pump. very good curculation it appears. only 1 stock electrical fan.
Please help

Stock timing for TBI is 0 degrees; stock timing for TPI is 6 degrees BTDC. Retarded timing could be contributing to your heating problem. Warm it up, disconnect the EST wire and then set your timing.

OK I set the timing to 6 deg BTDC. Seemed to help a bit but the temp still creeps up with engine speed.
By any chance, do any of the ports in the intake gaskets need those blocker plates installed?
I also put the AFPR on yesterday and set the pressure to 47 psi.
