my frind has an 89 RS with a 2.8L, and his uncle has a 5.7L out of a 89 IROC that he is giving him FREE!! but i know we are gonna need a new tranny right? and a new computer? and a new rear end? anything else? and since he has t-tops should he start saving for SFCs? anything else needed that im forgetting?

your going to need to re-wire EVERYTHING new computer, probley exhaust, trans should be allright, new mounts, possibly new front springs, inother words not worth the time/money.

 

EASIER to sell the v6RS & use the money to buy a v8 model w/trashed engine. This way you allready have the right tranny & the wiring is just waiting for the engine.

 

You can use the Rearend but the V6 trans will not fit the V8
