305tpi 5speed to 355tp 5 speed swap questions??
I am putting a 355 tpi roller cam one peice seal motor in my IROC,
what things will i have to change? and what things can i reuse?
also will the stock chip run this motor until i can program my own? which will probably be like 6 months
also I have a 5 speed, if i put a 350 auto chip in my computer, how wellwuldit work? would i get SES codes, or anything notwork right?
also, I have a complete 400 small block (carb to pan) that im looking to trade for a good L98 motor so if ur intrested e-mail me.
who has done this swap? and what problems did u run into?
any info will be greatly appreciated

Borg Warner T-5 fresh rebuild
10-bolt 3.73 Richmond gears rebuilt GM posi,
formerly BW 9-bolt w/3.45 gears(broke it)
Ported Plenum and Runners Homemade AFPR
ACCEL 8.8 wires, High output coil,and cap & rotor
Bosch platinum + 4 plugs
Ram Air w/ K&N filters,
MAF sensor screens removed, TB coolant bypass
Polyurethane tranny and torque arm mounts
No Cat, Dynomax Headers & catback w/custom tips
K&N oil filter,Mobil 1 synth,Factory Oil Cooler, Futura GLS Super Sport tires 265/50/15 rear and 235/60/15 front mounted on 86 monte carlo SS rims.

Being you already have the one piece seal, your flywheel, and clutch components should transfer right over. Also, your oil pan, full tuned port setup(injectors also if you bump the pressure up, but only if you DONOT plan on running nitrous, or make to severe of a motor) You will in no way see peak performance with the stock chip, but aside from running rich, you should run at least to get you through. you might try and find a stock 350 chip

You can keep the computer but I would
up grade the the intake.But if it's not in your budget.Just drop in the 355 change the
injectors.Your 305 uses 19lb and 350's use
22lb injectors.So go for it and have a ball.
By the way you can always up grade your car
anytime you want.

good luck with that t-5 of yours. i put a t-5 on my 5.7 and poof there that went. NO MORE T-5. It worked for about 2 months and then i started running the car a little more and the trans went. T-5's suck dont put it in with the 355. do urself a big BIG favor and put a t-56 or the auto.

i have went thru two t-5's. i would get the tremec if i were you. i am saving my pennies now to get mine. year one has everything you need to put the tremec in. they have two different torque ratings for them. the cheapest is around 1600, and the other one is 1800.
