305 and 350 swap
To start this of this is only an idea right now.
I have a 1986 Camaro with a 5.0L 305 TPI. Then I have a 1991 Chevy Silverado with a 5.7L 350 EFI.
Is it possible to swap these motors?

Yes. The main "issue" is the center two intake manifold mount bolts on each side are at a different angle on the '91 than the '86.

En 1 intake bolts mount at a 45 degree angle. The vortex bolts mount vertical, down I to the heads. So you can't use an "old style" gen 1 intake on a vortex head.

Easier to get a manifold that fits, but many have done their own modifications to those 4 bolt holes in the intake so that the bolts can be installed.

Re: 305 and 350 swap
The engine from the 91 truck would be an L05 350 and NOT a Vortec engine. Your intake would not bolt right up. 1) you would need a new intake, or 2) you would need to enlarge the center two holes in the intake for the bolts to go in. Going to a vortec headed engine you would need a new intake.

It isn't a big issue, and that's all you would have to do to get the base to mount to the later engine.
You might be able to trade your base with someone who has an '87-up base and wants an '86-earlier base.
