"Bolt to"? Yes.

"Work"? No. At least, not without extensive (and expensive) modifications.

Just curious, where did the LT1 heads come from? What car are you thinking of buying specifically (year, model, engine, etc.)?

"Norwalk, CA" means it has to be emissions-legal, and a L98/LT1 hybrid would not be.

If I'm understanding this correctly, you're looking at a '93-'97 Z28 that has a blown engine (but the heads are okay), which you would buy if your L98 shortblock would work in it. Basically, the answer is "no", primarily for the emissions reasons above.

You could make it run with TPI induction/controls with modifications to the LT1 heads, but no way no how would it pass emissions inspection.

It's just not worth it. If you want the car, find a good LT1 for it. They aren't that expensive. Sell the L98 to finance it if you have to.

Re: LT1 heads

L98 shortblock is just a generic flat top 350 with 2 bolt mains and 1 pc RMS. A good one usually goes for $200 or less depending on the miles
