What year engine is in my car?

I recently bought a 83 z28. The original 305 was swapped with 350 carb engine.

Is there anyway I can find out what year and vehicle the 350 came out of?

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86

Get the suffix code off the block. It should be stamped on the pad in front of the passenger side head.
