Re: engine swap cooling problems?
the stock 305 low-output radiator is adequate for most 350s. The number one cause of overheating is not having that second airdam under the radiator. Without it, the hot air goes under the radiator, and comes through the bottom half of the rad over and over again, getting hotter and hotter. Plus the airdam is also supposed to be scooping fresh cool air up to the radiator. Get the pic?
If that's good, then check your rad. fan. If that's good, pull the thermostat, and drill a 1/16" steam hole in it. Did you switch water pumps or pulleys? If you're running a serpentine pump with a v-belt pulley, or vice versa, it'll never circulate any coolant.
