There's a weird noise coming from my engine. The best way to describe it would be to say it sounds almost like a diesel, or a nasty lifter tick. It only does it when im driving under a decent load. Just idling its fine and all sounds normal, reeving all sounds normal, And when im just cruising everything sounds fine. Its not until i get into it that it sounds like this.

Now its done this ever since i can remember. I still have power, it kicks down and goes. I assumed it was my carb. That i wasn't letting enough gas get to the engine, but i played around with that yesterday and still no improvement with the noise.

Any idea's????

 

Forgot to Mention i have a 350 With a Weiand intake and a Edelbrock 650 Carb

 

I just had a very similar problem... my left header gasket was burned up on rear side. I'd image if you've had the noise for a while the gasket would have completely been destroyed though...
