Re: started my build
we got some time to work on the car today, we made a fuel pump bracket, wired the tach, oil pressure, and water temp up. while we were running the engine to mmake sure the gauges work(they do) we discovered a small leak at the bottom of the timing cover where it meets the oil pan, were gonna try and clean it real good and put some high heat permatex on it. later this evening we are goonna install the dash pad and headliner, hope it looks good. will get pics.

Re: started my build
alright update- it has been bout 2 weeks, i apologize, i had to go and stay at st louis for therapy for 2 weeks. while i was gone, my dad got my exhaust done, he said they couldnt fit the turbo mufflers, idk why not, but they installed glass packs instead
my Dad said it sounded good, keyword there-sounded.
he came and picked me up at st louis and told me my engine wass locked up, i figured he was joking cause he wanted to surprise me with my exhaust, well he wasnt, sure enough my motor is locked up.
when i was looking it over i noticed the timing cover was bulged out significantly, we have not taken it apart yet, but my guess would be that the dog bone on the gear drive got out some how and locked it up.
needless to say i wasnt happy, lol.
owell that's part of building hot rods haha

Re: started my build
we got the front end of the engine off today and the 3 bolts holding on the camshaft gear had cam loose, even with the bendable lock plate. so i started calling everyywhere open for a double roller timing chain and gears, got that and a timing ccover and she fired right up, and the exhaust sounds awesome!

Re: started my build
well its been along while since i've posted, but today is my birthday and we removed the old broken nose cone and broken ground effects the replace with the new ones.
hopefully either next week or following week i can get my stuff to put the new 406 back together and paint it, change them, and get my paint for my car, it's gonna be either summit paint, or martin senour, i have heard good things about both. it will be sort of a ultra blue pearl with silver hockey stripe, and i'm wondering if i should paint my louvers silver also??

here it is before being carpeted.
this after covering it with carpet from the red parts car
