305 tbi to 350 tbi

I planned on switched to tpi with my engine swap but decided to go the easier route for now and sticking with tbi. What all will i need for this swap? 350 knock sensor 350 injectors i know i need for sure. What about the computer will it need a 350 prom? going tpi i know i had to change the fuel pump do I still have to with this swap?

The 350 I will be using is a l98 long block.

Thanks
Mitch

Reports are it will run with the LO3 PROM and TB, but it'll run better with an LO5 PROM and injectors. Don't forget knock sensor (the L98 piece should work).

If the fuel pump is in good shape, it should supply the engine fine. Supporting higher HP levels would be better with a better pump, of course.

Were you planning on exhaust upgrades?

Re: 305 tbi to 350 tbi

So you could use a 350 tpi knock sensor for the tbi

Re: 305 tbi to 350 tbi

My exhaust right now is a flowmaster dumped after the muffler, this is how it came when I bought the car but was planning on upgrading to Borla with x pipe after the engine swap.
Will my 305 tbi headers work fine or will I need to upgrade?

What size injectors can I go with if i get a LO5 prom? I would like to have 65lb injectors but I'm sure I would need a chip burning then right?

Do you mean aftermarket headers, or stock exhaust manifold?

The TBI forum would be a better place to look for TBI specifics such as injector size.

Re: 305 tbi to 350 tbi

To jump his thread--Are the stock exhaust manifolds for the 305 the same as the 350? I understand the dimensions are the same for both blocks but there really isnt any diff in the manifolds is there???

I'm kicking this around as well as my 305 has issues--been searching on here and google and all i'm seeing is diff TBI knock sensor and the prom.
Everyone is using all the other sensors and wiring for the 305 then??
