Coil Springs
Just installed old school carb 350 into 91 RSv6. I have read that I must put V8 springs on. When looking for springs at auto zone or oreilly, I see the same part numbers for v6 and v8 cars of 91. Any Help ???

Re: Coil Springs
Many members swap in IROC style springs. If that should be a consideration, since I'm unsure about V6/V8 parts numbers, you might do a search on Moog 5662 and 5665.

My experience going from V6/auto/AC to V8/auto/AC was the V6 springs bottomed out easily in dips, over speed bumps, etc., even though the PO had put all new springs in the car before I bought it. When I put in the old V8 front springs from the donor car, the problem went away (the V6 springs are in the LS1/T56 car now and work fine in it).
Other members have said they didn't have any problems with the V6 springs after the V8 swap. Many of those, though, don't have AC or auto tranny.
So, I wouldn't go so far as calling it a "must", but at least it's a "might".
