Can someone tell me the differance between the 93 LT1 TB and the 94-97 LT1 TB?

 

93 has a stud for a 700R4 94-97 do not. Besides that they use a different kind of throttle cable than a third gen so keep that in mind. The LT1 also uses a different style of IAC/TPS connectors than the L98 throttle body. Just bringing this up in case you're thinking of swapping between em.

 

Ok well I must have a 93 style then. I did get a new IAC/TPS and the new connectors to splice in on the harness. What im not understanding is what style throttle cable to use for my 85 iroc.. should I use the 89-92 throttle cable or will the 93 year work? Also the stock 85 TPI cable measures 34'', maybe a 36'' cable would work well cause the LT1 TB looks like it would use a little longer cable with that style linkage. I cant really mock this up in the car cause the motor is not in yet. Again any help would be great.. Thanks

 

Use either the 90-92 TPI cable or the 93-97 LT1 cable

The 4th gen has a much smaller hole in the firewall so an adapter bracket will have to be fabricated
