ECM Chip Needed or Suggestion on GM one!
Hey Guys,
I posted this is the DIY - Prom section yesterday but I guess the moderator felt it was not appropriate and delted it. Hope it is OK in this thread!
Anyway, I recently made some modifications to a setup I have as well as to rebuild the motor. I have an '88 IROC TPI motor slightly modified (L98 heads which only difference is slightly larger intake valves, now 1.94 rather than the stock 1.84's, and a ZZ4 cam which is slightly more duration 208/215 than the stock LB9 cam). Also upgraded the injectors to 21 lb (stock 350 CI). I also have a 200R4 trans behind this (bone stock '87 Monte Carlo SS CZF with stock converter), and 3.73:1 rear.
I have a Howell Ind wiring harness with '87 Corvette ECM.
Now what I need is a MEMCAL that will work this setup. I have a couple of them here (codes ARAP, AMAU, & BUZM) and not sure what they came out of.
I am looking for a cross reference chart that will tell me what GM MEMCAL's will possibly work with this setup? Or if anyone can take one of these MEMCAL''s I have and modify it for me?
Let me know.

Re: ECM Chip Needed or Suggestion on GM one!
Hey Guys,
Just found another MEMCAL with code ABWN on it and it has a sticker that says '87 F-Body as well. This will at least help so I can start the motor and get it so I can move the car around under it's own power.
Now all I need is to get a chart that tells what these code apply to. Anyone know of a chart for that? I am wondering what this one is for and what tranny/rear it applies to.
