Hey I just finished or thought I finished the 305 TBI to 350 TPI SD swap in my 91 RS but now I cant get any spark at the coil and Im pretty sure the injectors arent firing. The fuel pump comes on when i turn the key on but the engine just cranks and wont start. The pump runs for about 2 seconds after i stop cranking and there is 12 volt to the coil through the pink wire. Ive been thinkin its the ICM but I wanted to see what everyone else thought.

 

Some more info on what parts you used ( ECM / wiring / etc ) and how you did things might help diagnose the problems

 

I used the 730 ecm and just repinned my tbi harness for the speed density. Ive gone over the repinning procedure 3 times and checked all the plugs and sensors. The ecm is working i believe it only shows code 12 as the only code stored. Have plenty of fuel pressure. Its the original dizzy out of my 305.

 

ignition module or your coil is bad but can you smell gas when cranking? Have you checked all your fuses?

 

do you still have the v.a.t.s. system wired up or did you bypass it in the ecm programming?
