406 hsr build

Im almost finished with the motor and looking for any tips or help and expectations for what i have coming together..

88 GTA
76 SBC 400 .030 over
11:1 flat tops
Procomp 210cc Aluminum Heads
292xfi cam hydraulic tappet
1.5 roller rockers
HSR setup adj. fpr
700r4 w/ 2200-2800 stall w/3.42 gear
Full long tubes. (Y into single, or duals with X?)

Any help while keeping it cheap. i have access to a dyno and i do motorcycle tuning so i understand it all but what tuners are you using for low budget. And any ideas on expectations? Im shooting for low 12s and 450 to the crank

sounds like a good setup in the works

as for tuning, you're best bet would be to take a look here:

Re: 406 hsr build

You talking about the bolt pattern for the 4 center bolts at the 72 deg angle? You can oval out the holes to bolt the manifold down to the heads...or you could possibly get a 85-86 TPI manifold which didnt have the altered angle bolt holes.
Also the vette TPI manifolds I think did not have the altered bolt holes but I could be wrong...

Will the manifold fit on those heads?? Arent those 1206 port intake runners and stock TPI is only like 1204 and cant really be opened up much. I think you may have sealing problems
