Help getting the TPI harness disconnected
I have a 91 camaro and the original engine was a 5.0 TPI engine. Im now converting to carb and i want the TPI harness out of the way, im not removing it completely but i want to tuck it into the passenger fender. By all the relays there is a square black plug that all the wires are going to. I not sure if that goes to the fuse box, but in order for me to get the entire harness out of the way i need that disconnected. Is it possoble to do that or does that need to stay there like that. Ill post up some pics of what im talking about

Re: Help getting the TPI harness disconnected
The first 3 pics i uploaded are what i need to remove. The 1st one shows what it looks like, its on the drivers side. Anyone know if i can remove that?
Re: Help getting the TPI harness disconnected
The bulkhead near the booster is the C100. Use a 1/4 ratchet with a 3" extension and 1/4 socket. There is a bolt in the dead center of the connector. Loosen it until you feel the bolt start skipping, then pull the C100 off. Split the connector in half, engine side vs light side
Pass side:
Drop the hush panel and pull the kick panel. Unplug the ECM, C207 (clear) and pop the C clip for the fender grommet. Push the harness bundle into the fenderwell
Pull the inner fender liner and pull the harness completely through and up past the HVAC box
A bit of advice, sell the TPI harness and ECM then get a V6 harness to cut up for your carb conversion. SD TPI harnesses are hard to find and tons of people want them and the parts youll need to retain are universal for all 90-92 engines. Youll need a VSS buffer box from a TBI engine or older Fbosdy to drive your speedo with the ECM removed

Re: Help getting the TPI harness disconnected
Got it out as well as the entire harness. So let me ask something, what other things besides that buffer box will i need for everything to work with this carb engine? Is that buffer box the only thing?
Re: Help getting the TPI harness disconnected
Youll need a 90-92 harness or cut this one up and add in the buffer box. Internal power and gauges run through the harness but are independent of the engine control
