2.8 to 350 rv cam

next week i start on my 350 build i could never be mor excited im 16 and im buying a 350 out of an old chevy truck it only has 47,xxx miles on it and it has an rv cam so im not gonna keep my tires that long lol but its only $150 for the motor radiator fuel pump and mounts and my 84 camaro v6 already has 700r4 so all i have to do is put it in put the new fuel pump in and radiator and it should start then i have to get a new accelerator pump but its all good ill post pics of the motor asap

Sorry bud ... You cannot use a V6 tranny with a V8 motor! You'll have to get a V8 tranny as well!

Also, an RV cam is just that ... a cam designed for a RV (ie Recreational Vehicle, ie WeenieBago). An RV cam is a small peanut cam to provide torque not hp. But any 350 will be a step up from a V6, and cams are easy to swap later.

The radiator won't fit, either.

Not sure on the fuel pump, but I'd be replacing it with a new 3rd gen carb V8 type when installing the engine.

I would guess you did not read the V6 to V8 swap sticky. You might want to do that now.

I have read it and it said itl work it just wont be as strong but i thought the 700r4 is mostly for a v8 like for example doesnt the iroc use a 700r4
