Bad Oil Leak (305)

I have this bastard of a leak happening on my 305. Its leaking on the passenger side and dripping down on the exhaust pipe causing smoke. The leaking only happens when you run the car, and my first place to look was the valve cover gaskets. So I pryed the old ones off, and replaced them with new rubber gaskets. No fix.

I don't think the head gasket could be leaking, that doesn't seem likely.

The oil seems to splash everything on the bottom including the transmission and the catalytic. It even goes a little higher than the where heads are. Its like its just spitting it everywhere. I can't find the leak....and I need this engine to hold out until I complete the new one.

Re: Bad Oil Leak (305)

Ok, I feel like a total idiot. The dipstick is missing. As in, the entire tubing and dipstick is literally gone. I can't believe I didn't see this. I just ran the advanced auto parts and got another one, but I can't see where it is supposed to go. Does it go into the block or the oil pan? The Exhaust manifold is in my way...

Just aft of the knock sensor and hidden by the starter.

Mine is aftermarket, but shows the location in the block for the tube.
