anyone ever considerd or has done a dmax diesel swap?....ive seen it done in a chevelle in hot rod i believe...but how about in an iroc?...pros/cons.....and just food for thought any other wild ideas like a camaro with a v10 or v12....grant it u would have to do some major firewall mods or such....it would just be crazy but cool at the same time....post pix of the wildest engine swaps into a third gen you have either seen or done too!

 

For the D-Max, you may well have to build a tube frame chassis around the engine. It's huge and heavy.
I've seen a you-tube of a '93-up Camaro with a Cummins from a Dodge Ram.
I believe you could fit the Dodge or Ford V-10s without bashing the firewall or moving the front core support, but the crossmember, steering, and transmission may not work out so well. Either V-10 can be T56'ed, but for an automatic, the Ford would seem easier.
If you want to be the most different, do the Renesis rotary from a Mazda RX-8, add boost, then call the car a "V-nothing" or some such.

 

A buddy and I looked into dropping a V10 out of a Dodge Ram into my Firebird and after realizing how much fabrication we were going to have to do (basically rebuild the whole front) we abandoned the idea.
