Pulling my 350, need help.
Hey guys, I've got my 350 TPI almost ready to get yanked out but I need to know if the EGR pump and tubing is all contained on the engine or is some of the tubing bracket to the firewall behind the engine?
Also where does the egr looking tube on the Cat trace up to and do I need to remove it to get this motor out?

You're confusing EGR with A.I.R. (Air Injection Reaction). (Also called the smog pump). The EGR is just one small valve on the intake manifold.
You need to disconnect the tubing somewhere between the pump and the cat.

Yeah, now that you say it I don't know why I was calling it that. Thanks for your info.
If any of you guys that have done this before could recommend whether to pull the transmission with the engine or leave it in the car, and how to get to the bell housing bolts or what you actually have to do to get the transmission free it would be much appreciated.

A long extension, and some swivel sockets make it easier to get the bell housing bolts out...I think I would pull the motor, and trans as a unit, but that is just me, others might have different ideas..Good luck...Tom
