If I buy a new crate engine was wondering if they do anything special to them so they can sit for a while like maybe even a year until I get the rest of the stuff for a conversion. Or is it better to buy it the very last. Dont want to do damage to a new engine by letting it sit.

 

they should be oiled and sealed and wrapped. Unless you found a once in a lifetime deal there is no reason to buy the engine and let it sit idle for a year.
