l05 swap intake eldebroke or a used bored out one 49mm

OK would it be better to get a used tbi intake that was bored out to 49mm to include the. tbi was bored out to match or a eldebroke performer with my stock tbi I've been reading gains with the eldebroke compared to stock is not that much. And doesn't floe all dthat better the used is only going to run me 180. Compared 300 + to get bigger tbi. N edelbroke

Re: l05 swap intake eldebroke or a used bored out one 49mm

i have the edelbrock on my tbi 350.the only thing i liked about it that it was a "bolt on" replacement.i def lost tq but gained hp around 2000 rpm.to be completely honest the best bang for the buck is a carb intake you would have to drill and tap the brake booster line though and custom fab a tv cable.

Better flowing intakes and throttle bodies are great if the heads/cam/motor can actually use it.

Im not talking about the cam im talking about the whole motor.Yes the Lt1 cam is a roller but some truck have the opinion to put a roller in without major mods.

Re: l05 swap intake eldebroke or a used bored out one 49mm

Yea the LO5 makes good low end tq.A Stock B body LT1 makes 260hp and 330ftlbs.But i heard just with headers you can get an easy 15hp.Im going to be doing a swap either way LT1 or a vortec 350 this TBI 350 isnt cutting it anymore and not really worth it to buy heads, cam when i can get a better engine all the way around for 220. I think you should take this into consideration also.It depends what you want out of your engine.Me i like a motor that has some *****.

True I'm saving up for a ls1 swap that's my end goal... but my 305. Blew head gasket so I swap tbi 350 cause its a easy swap since its my daily driver
