To get around your goal youll need a good cam i would get a roller cam, vortec heads, vortec carb intake, might as well convert it to carb it will be more but save you a headache of tuning or buying a custom chip. You should up around 300 maybe

If you want to make that power with TBI you'll need a much larger throttle body and a different Intake. You won't feel anything after 4500 with the stocker. probably put a 155lph fuel pump in. all the holes to make it an OE roller setup are cast and tapped into that block, you can pick up the parts pretty cheap and get a nice cam. The chambers on those heads are 76cc and the compression is pretty low. the vortecs will be a great way to go to make the power.
tbichips.com has a lot of good information, and he's always willing to help. and the prices are really good too. he will reburn a chip as many times as it takes to get it right. check them out first if you want to stay tbi.

definately do the cam, heads, and an intake to match. It'll definately make a big difference. you might want to at least do new arp rod studs and pistons for the bottom end. especially if you want to spin it higher.
