Ok I need some opinions

Ok Curretnly have a 91 camaro rs with a 305 tbi and a t5 that I use as my dd. I also have my 81 camaro which has a cammed 305 and is setup for a t5 but dont have a transmission. My question is I could start building a 350 tpi now for my 91 but I leave for the Navy May 14th 2012. I have a NUKE contract so I will be making more money plus getting a signing bonous at the end of school. Ive always dreamed of having a lsx motor in eaither of my cars. Id perfer the 81 since it was my first car but I dont know if Hawks would do it since it is an 81. Id perfer to not have the headache of swapping it with my buddies. I guess my question is should I wait until Im in the Navy and then at NUKE school in Charelston SC and see if Hawks would do the swap in my 81 or should I piece together my tpi build for my 91 now? I do know that Id like to go ls1 or 2 with a trex cam, heads, full bolt ons, and a 150 shot, Im looking for it to be a mean as hell street car that I can take to the strip and be my weekend driver. So just would like some opinions on what you guys think I should do.

I'd just spend enough to get both cars running and driving for now. You're about to have a complete life changing experience.

I'm a Navy vet, myself, and I can tell you that no stories are going to match your experience.

Get your cars driving, and later on when you're in home port between deployments you can take the car to the auto hobby shop on base and put 'er together.

Good luck, Patriot!
