I bought a BBC 402 for next to nothing it's got a new bottom end 10k ago but it's only 8 to 1 it's gou the 229 passenger heads I have a set of Edelbrook rpm heads laying around a a rpm air gap open chamber oval ports heads if I put this heads and intake on it with a cam swap would it lower or raise the compression

 

Never heard of 229 casting; sure it's not 292? If so they're about 114cc if memory serves. Compare that to whatever the Eddies are. Since they're aluminum you'd want to raise the CR by most of a point if possible. Prolly won't happen.
