Wonder if anyone help help a new guy out. I'm not a third gen owner, but I've got a second gen (third one I've owned actually).

I've picked up a streetrod, with tuned port TBI, but I don't know what its from. The block I'm told is a ZZ4 crate; there's a distributor on the back of the block (not an opti-spark style). The throttle body is an 85-88 TPI, according to photos I found on Street & Performance's website. I'm told the injectors are Accel and the chip is a Howell chip.

Needless to say, its impossible to tune this thing without any idea what it is. A friend of mine has an OBD-1 scanner, but before you can start with that, you need to enter a year and a VIN. Is there any way I can definitively tell what I've got? Maybe a code stamped on the computer or a casting number somewhere.

I can post up photos if that helps anyone. Just let me know what exactly to take a photo of.

 

Post a pic of the ECM you state it's tbi with tpi throttle body ?
