91 TBI T5 to 89 TPI T5 firebird
lil background
91 Body... originall a 305 TBI... when I got it the Engine was gone... I had an 89 305 TPI TA that the body was toast... both cars are T5 manual trans...
I removed the engine harness for the 91 TBI and routed the 89 TPI Harness in its place... and of course some oddities popped up...
I now have 2 sets of wiper connectors and am missing the Brake warning wire to the metering block.... no big deal...
I got to the point of trying to crank it up and this is what I have going on
no security light
no crank...
no injector pulse when using a remote starter button...
SES light comes steadily on but when the ALDL is jumpered no code 12...
I dont have $$$...
Im trying to find a chip for it that eliminates VATS (any help pointing me to a site would be greatly appreciated)
I can deal with the starter bypass relay...
the third connector under the dash has a couple different wires and some wires missing... I found one to be for the high setting on the heater fan... couple of them get nutty in the harness...
where is the Vats module and where can I find a decent wiring diagram online??? lol
I have yet to check for power to the ECM... but was wondering if the VATS system is the reason I cant at least a code 12 when the ALDL is jumpered???
any help is appreciated... if anyone thinks I should ask in other sections let me know please...
Thanx in advance

there are three ways to bypass the vats, one with the appropriate resister. The next is with a vats bypass module. the third is to reprogram it out of the calibration.

looked at all that... thats why I was asking for a place to get the chip with vats removed... Im not trying to really repair the VATS... but I want to know when it is located on this 91 TBI car...
