what should i do?3rd gen swap or 4th gen?
hey guys im on the fence about my car i really want a standard and if i were to go through the work to do that(i would swap a t56) i would want to do a ls1 swap aswell but im wondering if i should just sell my car and buy a 4th gen camaro or trans am or save up the cash and swap in an ls motor. what do you guys think swap it into the 3rd gen or just buy a 4th gen?

I would MUCH rather have a 3rd gen LSx T56 than a 4th gen. That's just me though. I like 3rd gens better.

It's up to you...but imo if you know how to do the swap and your mechanicaly swavy I think the swap would be neater to have and possibly cheaper. I've owned a ls1 maro 4000 stall Texas speed cam lt dyno tune n20 (it was built ) but my 3rd gen all ways got more attention.

ya thats the thing i love how the 3rd gens look and handle but i dont have a place to do the swap or the money on hand(selling my car would fund buying the new one)plus i only have basic mechanical skills so i dunno what i should do its takin me forever to finally get a 3rd gen and now im already thinking of getting something faster lol

if you want the benefits of an LS1 but don't have place/time/ability to swap, go with a 4th gen. You can always grab a 3rd gen later as the weekend car and not tie up the daily driver with a pretty involved engine/trans swap
