An LS7 block is probably worth more than an IROC in "ok" shape.. But even a block for 500$ is a good deal if he can get it .. I'm guessing no rotating assembly or anything? That's a big huge job and it might be better to find a wrecked Z06 parting out with the whole engine from intake to oil pan + ECM and other little parts that you could use.. Or better yet, a wrecked SS Camaro and get all the LS3 + T56 stuff from that.. When I have the $$$ that's what I will be doing.
The LS7 is strong, reliable, powerful, etc. but not worth the money when you consider $ per HP that it costs.
But this probably is just a hypothetical engine swap thread.
