1984 Firebird V8 to 1987 Firebird V6, help?
Real quick question guys.
I got a 1984 Firebird with a V8 that I wanna dump the engine and the transmission from it into my 87 V6. Question is, who should I look to for engine conversions. I've gave up on the idea of DIY, and I need to know what garage might be able to do it, if any. Like, general big name shops. Im gonna start looking around at shops around here for some help too.
Also, I plan on taking out my old 87 speedo and putting in a digital dash from an 87. Another question I have, will it work with the 84 engine and transmission?
I have all the wires, sensors, etc for it. I just need to know if it will work.

expect to pay a pretty penny to have a shop do the work. its just a simple engine swap with changing a few of the v6-v8 specific parts. but since you have a full donor car, itll be ckae. just take off the parts needed from the v-8 and bolt them into the v6 car.
the digidash may be another slight headache, but again, youve got all the sensors from the donor car. i dont think the ECM runs any of the digi dash, but im not entirely sure on that one.
on that note, i know youre on NTTGA so that means youre somewhat local. and i have all the tools and space neccasary to do an engine swap (ive swapped mine twice now and have another one planned).......
