91 rs 305 tbi to 91 5.7 tpi
so I have an 91 rs and looking to get some more power just like everyone else I found a 91 z28 for 1000$ it runs but it has no title. Im looking to swap the tpi into my car.
I have a few questions
First, the harness and pcm could i just swap everything over
Second, would the original fuel system need any mods
last kinda off topic is a posi or limited slip for the rear where can I get one and if I go to the junkyard how do I know its posi or ls and rear disc brake is there cheap way to do it
Thx guys first swap any any info would be great

To determine if it's posi:
Jack up the rear end (both tires off the ground). Spin one tire forward, if the other tire spins in the same direction, it's posi/lsd. If they spin in OPPOSITE directions, then you have an open dif.

Re: 91 rs 305 tbi to 91 5.7 tpi
For 80% accuracy, use the method above.
NOTE: Just want to note that a blown posi will ACT like a open dif. Both tires different directions.
For 90% accuracy, look at the RPO codes and see if it has a posi equipped from the factory.
For 100% accuracy, pop the cover off and check. There's a thread some where on here with images of what a gov' loc / auburn etc look like.

There are some detail differences, such as the RS having a VSS buffer and the Z (TPI cars) not. This can be handled by a complete harness swap, including the dash et al. The underhood wiring to the lights & such, and the rear chassis harness would not have to be changed. But, as stated, those should be plug & play between the two cars and those harnesses.
