305 TBI to 350 swap.
So I'm having to at minimum rebuild my heads in my 88 S/C. I've got a 350 short block just sitting in the garage begging for attention. I'm on a small budget so I'd like to not waste my $ on the 305 and build the 350 instead. My main concerns are, what, if anything can I use from the 305 to put on the 350? I don't have an intake or heads for the 350, so is it possible to build it as a TBI at a reasonable cost, or should I just build it carbuerated instead? Does anyone know about what it would cost to build, and swap the motors?

Would it be possible to use my 305 heads on my 350, or should I look for a better set of heads?

get better heads vortecs will outflow anything on your 305 build the 350 no need to throw money away on the 305. vortecs are 600 dollars out of the box or dirt cheap out of the junk yard. let us know how it goes im going to attempt my very first 350 build myself over the summer and im going to ask every question i can. oh and not much other than maybe the accesseries (starter, alt,ps pump, and etc) the 305 was too restrictive.

Almost everything you need to know is in this sticky tread https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tbi/...-350-swap.html
305/350 TBI intake and TB are the same, the restriction comes from the heads and the ridicoulous cam. For up to 280fwhp, do not even waste time looking for a different intake.
Vortec heads will require to use a vortec intake manifold, can find basically everything covering that set up here https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tbi/...i-buildup.html
Some reading in the TBI forum will give you a good idea of what you are dealing with.
