barrett jackson auction
Mods may need to move: Watching the auction past two days and noticed for first and second gens the prices seemed more inline than in previous years. Also noticed cars with original engines/matching numbers went for far more than those with larger or built engines. This has me wondering if Z's like mine with the puny 305 would be worth more in say 20-30 years with that engine compared to a modern 350 or LS or what may come next?

Maybe. I cant see anyone having a desire for it. A 350 tpi yes or 1LE car will certainly be worth some dough if kept clean and the miles stay low. Now that i think of it, have their ever been a third gen at a barret jackson auction?

A car with the original power plant is and will alway draw more money.Any one can go out and put a big power plant in there car.But there will only be one original block. my two cents.
