Car: 2004 BMW 325CI/ 1991 Camaro Z28
Engine: 2.5 straight 6/ 305 TPI V8
Transmission: Steptronic 5 spd./5 speed manual
Axle/Gears: Stock/stock
Engine cost
I'm getting an 88 camaro z28 five speed soon with everything except the engine. My brother is an awesome mechanic and has 17 years of experience and especially with these cars as he has had several irocs and third gens so he will be putting the engine in and I have no doubt about him doing it. He tells me that he can find 350 tpi engines all day and they're actually inexpensive (under $800) used. I'm just wanting to know what you all think about this and if it's relatively true. I do plan on modding here and there but that's after of course the tune ups and helpful tips Of the third gen 101 article ( https://www.thirdgen.org/mods101 )

Re: Engine cost
That's relatively true; however, don't expect that you'll just be able to buy one and drop it in and drive off.
If the car didn't come with TPI, it will need more than just the engine, to work.
