Hey everyone i am doing my first engine swap so i could use a little help. I have a 1989 trans am with stock 305tbi setup that is no longer any good (tbi still good but crank on engine bad). I just bought a 1987 Firebird Formula with a great running stock 350 tpi (got a deal on the car cause of a blown tranny).

I am planning on taking the entire 350 tpi setup and dropping it in my 1989 trans am. Now from reading a bunch of posts its my understanding that all i realy need to do is drop the new engine in and change the fuel pump, ECM and everything should work fine...? keep in mind i have the complete 1987 formula so i can strip what i need from that.

Any comments or advice as to what to look for or if im forgetting anything which im sure i am is much appreciated. This is my 4th third gen but i have never done a swap. thank you
