cross-year, cross-model TBI to TPI swap...HELP!!!

I'm about 75% done with a 89 Bird TBI that I'm swapping a 91 Z28 5.7 TPI into it. I've got some questions regarding the wiring harnesses, speedometer, etc. I'll list a few below, but if anyone local wants to throw an eyeball on it and offer some suggestions, I'd be willing to buy you pizza (sorry - I'm not 21 yet.)

I've chased the wires on both harnesses and spliced the TBI firewall connector to the TPI harness. There's a few differences which mean I've got a couple unused wires and some that were different colors (but went to the same sensors).

Also, the speedo wires on the trans are the same color, but one harness sends it to the firewall, while the other harness sends it to the ECM.

If anybody has done this swap, I'd love to pick your brain or talk to you about it, rather than re-invent the wheel.

Thanks
