Re: v belt bracket help!!

guys both of those pictures helped so much, but do you know or have a picture from the driver side on how the ac bracket mounts? i cant tell if it mounts to where my exhaust manifold goes, if it does that means i need to get to stud bolts off the 87 because mine just have the normal bolts.

Re: v belt bracket help!!

the first two manifold bolts are studs, If you don't have these just snag some off a tbi truck.

Re: v belt bracket help!!

Where's the front bracket bolt too? It looks like it bolts to the manifold. I'm taking about the big bracket by the water pump that's squarish.

Sorry I don't have any more pictures and can't recall. The last Time I pulled off that style bracket set was in the mid 90"s

Re: v belt bracket help!!

Thanks for the pic and diagrams Vette and Tuned, helped me too. My lb9 was swapped out by a po, but they retained most of the bracketry. The ac and smog arrangement was a bit of a head scratcher as some of it's missing, always wondered how it was supposed to go and what all the pulley grooves did.

Evilemo - which number bracket, in which diagram above, are you referring to? I might be able to take you a clearer pic, since I have no ac compressor in the way.
