1990 iroc 350 swap not starting.
OOk sooo.... i had a 1989 5.7 tpi automatic iroc z. And i have a 1990 iroc z with a t-5 5 speed. i pulled the motor from the 1989 and put it in the 1990 with the 5 speed. i pulled all the wireing ecu and the entire dash board and put it in the 90 with the 5 speed. this has been a pain in my *** the entire way. Every day i went to move forward i got put back because something went wrong or i didnt get the right part or somthing didnt work. anyways i get the motor in everything hooked up and i go to turn it on and nothing
the ignition comes on the lights work the battery has full charge. also i never mentioned the motor ran fine and started up quick before i pulled it. The starting is not doing anything when i turn key. I dont know where to go from here. I do know that in automatics they have somthing that tells it its in gear so the car wont start. Could that be my problem? any suggestions? i know what im doing here has been done before and it can be done. Any help is greatly appreciated.

there is a neutral safety switch that tells the starter to turn. the automatic and the manual have to different kinds of switches. did you hook up the neutral safety switch too the harness you took from the 89? for the manual the switch is behind the clutch pedal and should have i believe a purple and yellow wire to it. The automatic car had the switch on the shifter and is different but it should still have the same purple and yellow wires. you just have to splice them and run them to the switch behind the clutch pedal.
