Several members have. Are you looking to put a TPI on the TBI longblock, or change heads as well?
I assume you know you'll need to change engine harness, ECM, fuel pump, hoses/cables, etc. Are you starting with a complete TPI donor car, or just the pieces?

Re: TBI to TPI top swap
could i get away with using the L03 heads? Id probably just try to piece evrything together instead of buying a donor

Re: TBI to TPI top swap
need top end, all vacuum lines, ur rubber fuel lines to the chassis are the same, of course harness, comp, fuel pump { u can keep ur sending unit}, depends on the year comp u use u may need to add the vats system.... etc. itll physically bolt to ur heads tho. also dont forget u need the tpi throttle cable and tpi tv cable for the trans. if u wanna keep the cruise control u also need a tpi one. 57kid is right it is best to start with a donor.

Yes. Both the TPI and swirlport heads were made for low-RPM operation. Why they didn't use swirlport heads on TPI engines, I don't know. Maybe because the TPI "tuning" didn't require the swirlports like the wet flow TBI system did.
If you want to improve performance, then you'd be best to swap out the heads as well.
