How easy is it to swap a 305 to 350 in 84 camaro.
Hey guys. I just found a 84 camaro on craigslist for 2100. It currently has a 305 but i need this car to get to and from work and with how old this engine is i cant depend on it not breaking down. I want to swap it for this 350:

How easy would it be? Do i need to do any fabrication or anything or can i just take out the other engine and drop this one in and everything will fit correctly? Thanks for the help.

It's a direct swap, the only difference is the dipstick is on the opposite side.

You just have to tweak the tube a bit to clear stock manifolds, or use an aftermarket flexible tube. If you're using headers it's not a problem at all.

Yes with only very minor issues depending on the year of the new block.

About that engine, per crateenginedepot.com:
Oil Pan / Filter / Adapter / Dipstick:
The 350/290 HP engine block has provisions for both right-hand and left-hand dipsticks. The 350/290 HP engine includes a 4-quart oil pan Part number 10066039 which has the “double bump out” for both dipstick designs. The oil dipstick for the 350/290 HP engine for the right-hand (passenger) side of the block is 10190942 (indicator) and 12552920 (tube). If not using right-hand dipstick, use plug 09421743.

That would make it a perfectly direct swap, then.
