Re: pulley set up

If its a v6 with the AC on the drivers side, all you need is a different belt. I removed both from mine shortly after I got it, and just bought a new belt at autozone. You have to dig through the options in their site, but they have one that is for a v6 with no air and no smog pump. I can't remember the part number anymore, it's been a few years.

I wasn't sure if he had a v6 or a v8. Just thought id mention it in case he did since he didn't specify. Wasn't trying to one-up you or anything.

To the OP- if your going carbed, you can do it one of 3 ways. First is what Twin Turbo described, second is switching to a v-belt setup(cheap but a pain to keep the belts tight), third is to do what I finally did and use a serpentine setup from an early-mid 90's full-size van. You'll need a shorter belt and a long flex radiator hose to reach around the alternator to the radiator.
