305 tbi parts swapped onto a carbed 350..?
305 tbi parts swapped onto a carbed 350..?
I'm currently running a 305 tbi in my 1992 Firebird. I bought a carbed 350 with a mild cam, slightly lopey, unsure on the cam size. My question is, could I use the tbi intake, throttle body and distributor to convert it to 350 tbi using the 305s parts? Will a cam throw the computer off, is a tune recommended or neccesary? Thanks.
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated, actively looking up info, just looking for extra input.

Just replacing a 305 with a 350, the tune needs to be different.
If the cam is even "slightly lopey", the tune will be REALLY REALLY off.
Best plan might be to put a KNOWN more appropriate cam in it instead of guessing around what might be an unsolvable problem, and get the chip, knock sensor, ESC module, and injectors, off of a 350 at the junkyard.
