Overall Best bang for your $$$$$

Finally over shortage on cash and problem after problem the 89' is finally in the shop. So after talking with the mechanic I decided to replace the engine with a new remans 305. I was quoted at 3,200 after parts and labor (block was 1800) this is at 97$ an hour. I decided why not 350, was my original Idea so I'm looking into these. I read a lot but I just cant understand the numbers and outputs these spec mean if that makes any sense.
Thanks,
Thomas

Just a couple of things I noticed....
You would need a balancer yours won't work (wrong timing mark)
The picture shows Vortec heads on that motor (takes a different manifold)
67cc heads won't produce 9.6 compression

#3 is the only one that works for your car. (one piece RMS)

Has a weak cam

I wouldn't trust a photo on a website. The description doesn't mention Vortec heads, and the application says "TBI" and "1987-1995 Trucks" - pre-Vortec.

And by weak do you mean not aggressive or just a poorly made product.

Just smaller than a TPI cam. (and they're mild)

My comments were made to help you investigate a little more.

Re: Overall Best bang for your $$$$$

Just another FYI if you plan to swap to a 350. You will need injectors with more flow capability for the 350 and I would also recommend getting a new Mem Chip for the ECM as well.
