I have a 1991 Camaro with a 3.1 v6 and an automatic. I have been considering putting a 350 in place of my v6 due to some idling issues I've been battling for the past 3 years with no success. Before I tear into my car I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can help me with.
1.) What kind of transmission is currently in my car?
2.) Will the transmission in my car bolt up to/work with a 350 or would I need to change it?
3.) What else will I need to change in order to go to a v8? I've read some posts about changing motor mounts, radiator, etc. I would most likely go with a carburetor instead of fuel injection.
Thanks in advance for your input, all help is greatly appreciated.

Some specifics, such as swapping from EFI to carb, aren't covered in detail, but those basics are easy to find either by a search, or in a tech article linked from the thirdgen.org homepage.
