350 Swap Tranny Prob?
Hey,
I have an 88 Firebird TBI I swaped the 305 out for a 350 Carbed engine I built. Engine Starts runs and is in. I adjusted the TV cable but when I go to put it in gear to move it Forward or reverse. NOTHING happens. I can put it in ANY gear and nothing.
Tranny is still the 700R4. Worked When I took out. I checked the fluids there good. as I said TV cable adjusted.....
I cant figure it out!!!!
Oh and yes the linkage is hooked up and moving.

but did you bolt the converter back up?
If you think you did, or you check and see the bolts present, check the fluid first when not running and then running, and see if the level drops about 2 - 3" on the dipstick.

if everything else checks out,...
did you keep spinning and pushing the converter in to engage the pump correctly? if you just slid the converter on and bolted everything together, chances are you may have broken the front pump.
i hope thats not your issue.
