2.8l v6 to a 305 or 350

Car: 1984 Camaro
Engine: V6 2.8
Transmission: 700r4
2.8l v6 to a 305 or 350
Engine threw a rod after tranny swap. Need a new setup figured might as well since I need to pull it anyways.
But I have a few questions.
What needs to be modified in order for my 84 to be able to handle it. Anything else besides the mounts and the radiator that I need to worry about?
Will the 700r4 be able to handle the 305/350 swap or do I need to get another?
Any other recommendations? Need to swap it soon! Thanks guys!
