Re: big block wiring harness

On the c207 connector cavity L DK/BLU wire is for the pass-key or vats. With the ecm gone i guess i will have to bypass the vats system at the starter relay in the driver kick panel by grounding the green wire. Only other question i have is for the speedo the red wire cavity P car had a v6 so there is no vss buffer box do i hook up the wires coming from the trans to the red wire ?to get the speedo to work. Can someone out there please help with this.i have read all the post on ls swaps and engine swaps im sure someone can please help with this i would like to drive my car and have everything working correctly. Thanks oscar

First off, read that. Pics reset mid month

Next, speedo will be a process since the ECM is gone and it was a V6 to start with, plus you're using a cable output trans (TH400). Youll need some sort of electric VSS signal. The cable to electric units from jagsthatrun will do the job nicely. They have a range of outputs available. Next, grab a buffer box from any mid-late 80's Fbody and wire it in like this:
http://www.austinthirdgen.org/mkport...SS_V8_vinE.jpg

FP relay should be independent of the computer, simply move the dk grn/wht wire to an IGN source and the FP will run when the key is on

The red wire on the C207 (wht connector) is VSS to the cruise module

VATS will be disabled in this conversion. The only functioning part remaining is the starter enable relay. If you're using the proper key, this will function normally, if the key doesnt match the VATS module, then dig the relay out of the drivers kick panel and ground the 20ga blk/yel wire

Hooking the VSS wires directly to the speedo will not work

so do i get the one that has the output of 4000 pulses per min and run that thru the buffer box and i will be in bussenes yes? i still have the same key so the vats will work fine and thank you for your help
