305 chev short block to 350 chev long block
1986 Chevy camaro iroc z28 5 spd manual and 305 lg4 small block engine. planning on dropping a crate chevy 350 long block. im wondering what accessories ( like fuel pump, intake manifold etc, everything but what comes with the crate motor) would be transferable from my 305? also any problems/complications or things i should look out for with putting in a long block?

Re: 305 chev short block to 350 chev long block
Short block = everything below the head gasket except cam
Long block = short block + heads
Since the 305 and 350 are both small blocks, and therefore essentially identical externally except for year-model differences such as 2-pc vs 1-pc rear main seal (85-back vs 86-up) and bolt holes in the ends of the heads (approx. 69-back vs 70-up), yes it will all transfer over.
