v6 to v8 brake question

Ok so I'm putting a 350 in my car from a v6. I'm getting ready to change my mounts and noticed my brake line goes right where my v8 mounts should go. Do I need to move the brake line?

Re: v6 to v8 brake question

Un bolt the little clamp and pull the whole brake line up. There will be another hole to bolt the brake line clamp into

Re: v6 to v8 brake question

i had to do the same thing when i put my 496 bbc in last month. first take the v-6 mounts off, then unbolt the brake line in 4 places then gently bend and move the the line back and use the the same clips and bolts in the new holes i have some pics when i find them i will post them. dont be afraid to use a little elbow greese and move them.

From #12 in the "V6 to V8 Swap" sticky in the top section of this forum:

"The right/front brake line mounts to the front of the crossmember for the V6, right where the V8 mounts need to go. Either use the V8 factory line, or carefully bend the line to the rear of the crossmember after the mounts are removed from the V6 position. The p-clamp mount holes are there for the V8 position for this line."
