I'm snaged.this 85 z28 was a factory LB9.Harness is still in. have a L98 from the yard with the harness cut to take it out. Most everything matches. My snag is the dizzy. One of or members said to change the gear on the bottom because the l98 was roller cam. the stock motor was long gone by the way! I got a dizzy from ame yard,coil in cap type out of a carb 305.the gear looks like the one on a 91 tbi 305 I got. Thats suppose to be a roller cam to I think. I've removed both gears and the iner diamiter is larger on the carb gear but the outer and gear angles look to be the same. the wiring is set up a little different from one to the other. help me through this guys!

 

nobody? I went and got the ecm that was in the car I got the motor out of.

 

Iirc you can just swap the gear and be all set. Or rewire the harness for the small cap distributor. Believe its pretty similar coloring.
